Alienware 34: a QD-OLED display for less than 900 euros, you can’t refuse it
A good gaming setup isn’t much without a good screen. And on this side, Dell offers some great references. The Alienware 34 is one of them. This curved monitor indeed has all the characteristics of the perfect gaming monitor, starting with its QD-OLED panel which offers one of the best displays currently on the market.
On the technical sheet side, it is difficult to fault the choices made by Dell: WQHD definition (3440 by 1440 pixels), refresh rate at 165 Hz, gray to gray response time of 0.1 ms, brightness of 1,000 cd/m2 , Delta E less than 2, 34-inch diagonal and AMD FreeSync compatibility… Don’t throw any more away. An HDMI port, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports and a whopping 4 USB 3.2 ports provide the connectivity part.
Thanks to a reduction of 209 euros, this high-end monitor (rated 9/10 at Frandroid) drops below the 900 euros mark with a price set at 869.62 euros.
If you are looking for a slightly more modest screen, for gaming in QHD for example, the Dell 27 is perfect for you. This 27-inch Fast IPS panel has a refresh rate of 165 Hz and compatibility with AMD’s FreeSync, but also Nvidia’s G-Sync and VESA Adaptive Sync.
Dell has also thought about display quality: with 99% coverage of the sRGB gamut and VESA DisplayHDR 400 technology, colors are precise and vibrant in game. The little extra of this screen? An HDMI 2.2 port which makes it an excellent monitor for current game consoles, which will be able to fully use their display functionalities such as ALLM or VRR. But the best thing is still its price, currently displayed at 259.32 euros thanks to a 19% discount.
Inspiron or XPS: the best of office automation without breaking the bank
Are you looking for a small office PC capable of supporting you on a daily basis? The Dell Inspiron 14 is an excellent choice thanks to its 14-inch format that is as compact as it is robust thanks to its aluminum chassis. Under the hood, we find a Core i5-1335U accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. A combination that focuses on efficiency, and which should allow you to manage common tasks without problem.
Designed for work, this laptop has what you need in terms of ports (USB 3.2 Gen 1, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI), as well as a 1080p webcam with dual microphone and two compatible 2.5 W speakers Dolby Atmos. Usually offered at 659.36 euros, the Dell Inspiron 14 currently benefits from a reduction of 210 euros which brings it to 449.36 euros.
The Dell XPS 13, for its part, is positioned a notch above the Inspiron 14 in terms of performance. More compact, and therefore easily transportable, it stands out above all for its screen, an Infinity Edge FHD+ panel (1920 by 1200) which offers a nice working surface despite its 13-inch diagonal. A Core i5-1230U, 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD complete this range for completely satisfactory performance.
Like the Inspiron 14, this XPS 13 has all the necessary features to make it an excellent work PC (dual Thunderbolt4 USB-C port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery and HD webcam at the top). This PC is currently priced at 699.36 euros on the Dell website.
G15 and G16: gaming PCs that have something under the hood
On the gaming side, Dell is also doing very well with two great references on sale during Spring Sales. Priced at 1,099.50 euros instead of 1,349.50 euros, the G15 is a pretty gaming machine, capable of delivering extremely satisfactory performance at 1080p. It can indeed count on a duo consisting of a Core i7-1365HX and a GeForce RTX 4060 as well as 512 GB of SSD storage.
The display for its part is provided by a 15.6-inch FHD 165 Hz screen, G-Sync compatible, and which has the ComfortView Plus functionality which helps limit visual fatigue. An Ethernet port, an HDMI port and a whole arsenal of USB ports complete the package.
If you’re looking for a laptop with a little more power to run the most demanding games of the moment, the Dell G16 has serious arguments in its favor, starting with its technical sheet. Core i9-13900HX, GeForce RTX 4070 8 GB, 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, 1 TB storage: it’s difficult to be choosy.
Especially since Dell has installed a QHD+ panel here in 16:10 format (2560 by 1600 pixels). A screen that benefits from a 240 Hz refresh rate, G-SYNC+ and nice 100% DCI-P3 gamut coverage. Enough to offer a fluid display with vibrant colors in-game and elsewhere. Usually offered at 1,899.50 euros, it is currently sold for 1,599.50 euros, a reduction of 300 euros.
